Our scope of practice is based on musculoskeletal injuries and conditions only as well as emergency care. You should arrive on time for your first appointment and expect a little bit of paper work to complete.
Your therapist will start the assessment with talking with you about your injury, pain levels and activities. Next will be an assessment of the injury where your range of motion and strength will be tested.
After your assessment Ane will outline what they found and how that relates to the symptoms you are having, then she will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan.
In total your first appointment with last about an hour to an hour and 15 min.
This varies based on the individual but typically most clients come once a week for several weeks. Each individual responds differently to both the treatment and the home exercise plan.
